Join Storm Creek in Supporting Save the Boundary Waters
At Storm Creek, we support outdoor recreation and care deeply about protecting our natural environment.
As part of our Embrace the Cause initiative, we have teamed up with Save the Boundary Waters (STBW) to help ensure that outdoor enthusiasts can continue their adventures in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area for years to come and to protect the 1.1 million acres of natural water and woodlands.
Since the fall of 2018, we’ve developed special edition Storm Creek products branded with the STBW logo. Storm Creek donates $20 from each STBW product sold!Shop Now
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area is America’s most-visited wilderness area. Along with the Superior National Forest, it contains 20 percent of all the fresh water in the entire National Forest System. Sulfide-ore copper mines proposed on the edge of the Boundary Waters pose an imminent threat. Pollution from the mines will flow directly into the Boundary Waters.
The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters
The STBW Campaign, led by Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness, was organized by local residents in and around Ely, Minnesota, who are dedicated to creating a national movement to protect the clean water, clean air and forest landscape of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and its watershed from toxic pollution caused by mining copper, nickel and other metals from sulfide-bearing ore.Learn more
